About...

I’m Allie… wife to Jared and mama to Emma and Jonah. This site is where I share our story in photographs.

Nothing makes my heart sing more than capturing my family as we really are… the humor, the love, the real authentic moments that make us US.

“Be silly. Be honest. Be kind.”
— Ralph Waldo Emerson

When's the last time you got in a photo with  your kids? I founded the We Were There, Too project to encourage moms to get in front of the camera and help inspire other moms to do the same. The most common excuse we hear from moms for not being in photos with your kids is because you're not comfortable with how you look. Maybe you've gained weight since having kids, your skin has changed, you don't have time to take care of yourself the way you'd like. But here's the thing... your kids think you are the most beautiful mom in the world because you're their mom . They don't see what you see. And when they're our age they're going to want to look back at photos of their childhood and see their beautiful mom. Give them that gift. No more excuses. Be brave and let love trump insecurity. I promise you (and your kids) will be so happy you did!
